What is the Filmanatix Experience? It’s a four-day immersive filmmaking event where participants work alongside the Filmanatix team to create a professional spec ad. The experience includes hands-on training in pre-production, production, and behind-the-scenes roles. Who is this event for? This event is perfect for filmmakers, videographers, and content creators looking to gain hands-on experience, enhance their skills, and build their portfolios. Where is the event taking place? The event will be hosted at a professional production location in Charleston, West Virginia. Do I need prior filmmaking experience to attend? Not necessarily! The event is designed for all levels, from beginners to professionals, with personalized guidance provided to each participant. What is included in the ticket price? VIP & Shadow Access: Includes accommodations, meals, on-set transportation, and full access to all workshops and production days. Virtual Access: Link to access a live stream of the entire event plus Q&A sessions.  Are travel expenses included? Travel to and from the event location is not included. VIP and Shadow Participants are responsible for their airfare and transportation to the venue. Once you arrive to the hotel we will provide transportation to and from film sets or dinner reservations. What should I bring to the event? Bring your personal filmmaking tools (optional), a laptop for notes, and a great attitude! Everything else will be provided. Will I get to use professional filmmaking equipment? Yes! Participants will work with professional camera gear, guided by the Filmanatix team. Will I have hands-on experience, or will I just observe? VIP participants will rotate through active roles, including camera operation, lighting, directing, and more. BTS participants can observe or focus on capturing behind-the-scenes content. Will I leave with a completed project? Yes! Participants will receive a polished spec ad (or BTS content for Shadow participants) for their portfolio after post-production. Will I receive access to the footage? Yes, all participants will be given access to the footage at the end of the shoot. Please ensure you bring your own hard drive or laptop for the transfer. This allows you to take the footage with you and begin working on your edits immediately after the event. What is your refund policy? We understand things happen. But please note that no refunds for VIP and Shadow Experiences will be issued after February 1st, 2025. This policy helps us finalize logistics, such as hotel bookings and event arrangements, to ensure a seamless experience for all attendees. Do you offer group discounts?
